Before you can even think about selling a vehicle, you’ll need to get your hands on one. Regular cars will sell for at least $1,000 each, but expensive sports and luxury cars are worth looking into. This is a good rule of thumb to follow: the better a car looks, the more valuable it usually is. We’ve had luck finding expensive vehicles on the streets around Rockford Hills, but head to any high-end shopping area and you’re sure to see a few.
Once you’ve found the vehicle you’re interested in, simply hijack it or plug it in and evade the police. Try to damage it as little as possible because cars in better condition have a higher price. Most of the time you can just run down the road and find a quiet hideout in an alleyway to get off a chase that isn’t strenuous. As soon as the coast is clear and you have no stars, you are ready to disembark on your new voyage.
How to sell cars in GTA 5
Unfortunately, there is only one merchant willing to buy your stolen goods: Los Santos Customs. They have four locations spread across the map, but no matter which one you end up at, they will always buy your vehicle.

- Desert of the Great Lady
- Rig
To sell your car, simply drive to the Los Santos Custom garage. This will open the same menu that was used to modify your trip, but also contains the option to exchange for cash. Scroll to the bottom of the menu until you see Sell eyelash. After that, it’s just a matter of confirming your selection and collecting your rewards.
