The numbers are down, but the virus is still there: France reported 18 new deaths related to Covid-19 in 24 hours in the hospital, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the epidemic to 29,861, the General Directorate of Health (DGS) announced on Wednesday. The number of Covid-19 intensive care patients continues to decline at the same time with 582 cases, which is 20 less than on Tuesday. A total of 8,336 people were hospitalized due to this infection (or 200 or fewer patients in 24 hours).

“Stable” epidemiological situation
