Two statues commemorating the colonies located at the foot of the Saint-Charles train station in Marseille were damaged Tuesday night, France Bleu Provence BFMTV reports.

Characters representing one of the former colonies in Africa and another former colony in Asia are marked in red. There you could read “The colonized of Africa communicate with France” and “The colonized of Asia are not (sic) France.” Since then, the two statues have been cleaned.

According to information from France Bleu Provence, ten people would be involved in these degradations. A thirty-year-old woman was taken into police custody.
