Baby Sussex, seventh in line to the throne, was born at 5:26 am this morning weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces, more than a week late.
The boy is seventh in line to the throne, behind the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Cambridge and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and Prince Harry.

Speaking to the Sun, Meghan’s father Thomas Markle congratulated the new parents and spoke of his pride in the new addition.
“I am proud that my new grandson was born into the British royal family and I am confident that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Great Britain with grace, dignity and honor,” he said from his home in Mexico.
Charles Spencer, brother of Diana, Princess of Wales and uncle of Harry, posted his congratulations on Twitter.
He wrote: “Very good news today, many many congratulations!”
