Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Checkout Scene 1: Council Kang

Kang smiles at Loki.

We will not explain the whole ending. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but we have to spoil that Kang (Jonathan Majors) ends up getting killed by a combined attack from a badly injured Ant-Man and Wasp. Well, at least one of the variants of him does. In the movie, he mentions how the other Kang sent him to the Quantum Realm as punishment. Well, the first exit scene, which appears after the main cast’s exit credits but before the team’s exit credits, features them… many, many of them.

The scene opens with three figures in a cave, all shrouded in shadow. One of them, soon revealed to be a Kang variant of Immortus, asks if Kang, the Ant-Man he fought, is dead. Rama-Tut (Majors, in ridiculous pharaonic garb), the ancient Egyptian variant of Kang, steps forward and confirms Kang’s death. A third Kang variant, looking like a Scarlet Centurion (Majori again), steps forward and asks what to do next.

The three Kang variants then head towards the holographic image of the multiverse, with Immortus stating that they must protect him from the heroes. With variant Kang’s death, Ant-Man and the Avengers became a threat to his plan to clean up the MCU timeline. Immortus gestures to the noisy stadium and says that they need to get all the Kangs together to make sure his plan is carried out. The final shot shows the camera panning around the inside of the stadium as endless Kang variants scream and grow louder. Fade to black.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ending scene 2: Kang performing a magic show?

Loki and Mobius look at something on Loki.

But wait, there is more! After the box turns, another scene with Kang follows. This time we see him on stage at the theater in period costume (I’m assuming it’s from the 1910s, but it could be a bit earlier or later) instead of his usual purple and blue suit. He’s dressed up as some kind of wizard and gives a speech about (what else?) the weather.

We then cut to a captive audience, devouring every word. It seems that there are only two people who do not buy what Kang sells. These two are revealed to be none other than Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson), both in disguise, who confirm that they have found Kang. Cut to black, again. What comes next? Well, we’ll have to wait until this summer for the second season. Loki It will premiere on Disney+.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania now playing in theaters across the country.
