Meet Tracey Horen Sexton, the late wife of comedy star Ron Sexton
Indianapolis radio personality and comedian Ron Sexton was married to his wife Tracey Horen Sexton at the time of his death. They were high school sweethearts and went to prom together. While posting some photos, Tracey wrote in February 2017: “I dated this guy for 29 years! 1988 was a long time ago!”
The couple finally tied the knot in August 1994. On their 21st wedding anniversary, Tracey wrote: “21 years of marriage…wasn’t easy, but so worth it! I love you. I love our children. I love our life. Happy Anniversary! PS: I deserve an award.”
Ron, radio host and comedian best known for The Bob and Tom Show hearing as “Donnie Baker”, has passed away. On Saturday morning, Sexton’s family announced the news of his death on his official Facebook page.
“It is with great sadness that we inform everyone that Ron Sexton passed away yesterday. He was Donnie Baker to most of you, but Ron and Dad to us. Please respect our privacy at this time and please pray for our family,” the post read. Tom Griswold on “The BOB & TOM Show” claimed on Twitter that Ron went to Ohio on Friday while doing a stand-up comedy act.
An Indianapolis native, Ron has always enjoyed baseball and comedy. He was a baseball analyst for the school radio station during his time in high school. Sexton’s Donnie Baker made his television debut in 2005 on “The Bob & Tom Show” with stories about a yacht that seemed to be selling all the time.
He also frequently used the catchphrases “State Law!” and “I swear to God” while he’s on screen. In addition to doing celebrity impersonations, Sexton has also voiced cartoon characters such as Floyd the Trucker and Kenny Tarmac.
