Britney Spears’ husband Sam Asghari says ‘stuff happens’ after divorce filing as he slams ‘challenging prenup’ claim

BRITNEY Spears’ husband Sam Asghari has finally spoken out about their split, and he denies ever threatening Britney.

The 29-year-old model made a new post on his Instagram Story addressing the rumors surrounding their relationship.

It was only yesterday that 41-year-old Britney’s marriage was reported to be falling apart.

She was only been married to Sam for about 14 months before the news broke.

In the new statement, he announced: “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together.

“We will hold on to the love and respect we have for each other, and I wish her the best always.”

He continued: “S**t happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”

The short and sweet post was shared on a black background without any additional flourish.

He has turned off the comments on all of his recent Instagram posts.

It was previously reported that the actor was threatening to spill the singer’s “deep, dark secrets” after filing for divorce.

Sam’s representative told The U.S. Sun: “There are many claims that Sam is challenging the prenup and threatening to exploit his ex-wife with videos.

“However, all these claims are false, as no negative intention has ever been directed towards her and never will be. Sam has always and will always support her.”

On the other side, sources have accused Britney of cheating on Sam, though she has not addressed the buzz to either confirm or deny it.

An insider told ET Online earlier on Wednesday: “Britney and Sam have split. She’s adamant she didn’t cheat. The two haven’t got along for a while and it finally came to an end after a major blowup.”

While his post seems peaceful, Sam has previously made claims that he and the star got into fights during their marriage.

It has been reported that Sam admitted that she gave him a black eye while he was sleeping, as reported by TMZ.

Sources told the news outlet that Sam came forward and said Britney got physical with him during their marriage, and it got bad that security had to get involved.

However, when Sam was allegedly attacked while in bed, there was no security to help, and he did not fight back but was left stunned by his wife’s action.

Other sources told TMZ that Sam was concerned as Britney enjoyed having knives all over their house.

“[Britney] was paranoid someone was going to get her, and she needed the knives as protection,” the source said.

THE PRENUP BATTLE

Sam filed papers in the US late on Wednesday to make their separation formal, saying it was due to “irreconcilable differences”.

This came hours after it was revealed he had moved out of their home following a huge row.

They had a prenup to ensure her estimated $70million fortune would be safe, but he is looking to contest it.

He has already requested spousal support and legal fees and it is believed he is hoping Britney will give him a payout for the whole thing to go away quietly.

But there is every possibility the split could turn nuclear if she refuses, with those close to him claiming he could spill “extraordinarily embarrassing” secrets about her.

The Toxic singer has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.

A source close to the superstar said: “Britney has been pushed around by men her whole life. She is not going to let it happen again.

“There has been one heartbreak after another in her life but she won’t be taken advantage of this time. She will fight for what’s rightfully hers if it comes to that.”
