FBI Director Christopher Wray is married to his wife Helena Wray. They met at Yale University while attending that institution in the class of 1989.
They were reportedly married on August 12, 1989, at St. Philip’s Episcopal Cathedral, where the Rev. Peter J. Gorday performed the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. Hays H. Rockwell. As reported, Helen’s sister Catherine was her bridesmaid.
Speaking of her husband, Christopher was born on December 17, 1966 in Provincetown, Barnstable Co., MA to parents Thomas Cecil Wray and Gilda Gates. He was named director of the FBI in August 2017, becoming the eighth director to head the federal agency.
Christopher was born in New York and graduated from Yale University in 1989. He graduated from Yale Law School in 1992 and clerked for Judge J Michael Luttig of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
In addition, he spent 17 years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia at the multinational law firm King & Spalding. He later worked on a variety of federal prosecutions, including public corruption, gun and drug trafficking charges.
In August 2022, the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago in Florida, the home of former President Donald Trump. And it’s a surprise, but it was Trump who hired Christopher in that position.
