A woman from Dorking, England, who is in her prime, recently won the Set For Life lottery jackpot. Doris Stanbridge, 70, matched all the winning numbers: 2, 11, 17, 30, 38 and Life Ball 3 on August 3. It all started when Stanbridge was in her house with her three daughters. She noticed money spiders in her home and garden, prompting her to buy a Set For Life ticket through the app, the National Lottery reported. Money spiders are a species of spider found in the United Kingdom.
“We had my 70th birthday party, so we were busy. I saw the email from the National Lottery. I logged into the app thinking I’d won £10 and then I saw: ‘Congratulations, you’ve won £10k a month for 30 years’. I said to Keith [Doris’ husband], ‘Did I read it right? Does it say what I think it says? No, it can’t be!’, Stanbridge told the National Lottery.
Stanbridge then rushed to her brother-in-law for a second opinion and marked her life-changing victory with a bottle of champagne.
After her big win, the couple bought a new bed and a deep fryer. They even vacation in Cornwall with their extended family. In addition, they intend to renovate their residence where they have lived for 50 years and provide their family with a vacation abroad.
“It will be my grandson’s first trip by plane. I was looking at a villa in the country with a pool and sun all the time!” she added.
