Bengaluru often makes headlines for its long traffic jams and exorbitant rental prices. Recently, a picture of an apartment posted on a house search website caught the attention of social media users. A small apartment is available for rent at a surprisingly high price. As expected, it caused stormy reactions.

<p>“A bed room is a bedroom.  WTF Bengaluru,” reads the caption of a post shared on Reddit by user ‘_saiya_’ in the ‘r/India’ platform community.  In the description of the post, a Reddit user wrote: “What the hell?  Why?  ₹12,000 for this s****e, and there will be some jerks who would actually pay.”</p>
<p>An image shared on Reddit shows a room that can be rented in Mahadevapura, Bengaluru for ₹12,000 per month.  A screenshot of the apartment shared on Reddit shows a tiny room with a small window.  A bed is squeezed into a narrow space between two walls.  In the comment section of the post, ‘_saiya_’ shared that the deposit for this particular 1RK (room, kitchen and bathroom) is INR 50,000.  Many users expressed disbelief and shock at the high rent and deposit for this apartment.</p>

<p>The post was shared three days ago on Reddit.  Since then, he has collected more than 1,200 upvotes and counting.  Many even took to the comments section to share their reactions.</p>
