They say age is just a number, and a few older people perfectly prove that saying to be true. One of those inspiring people who doesn’t let age get in their way is Dorothy. This 104-year-old woman tried to set a world record in skydiving. A video of her feat was also published on the Internet, which amazed people.

Skydive Chicago, the agency that helped Dorothy with this feat, shared her video on Facebook. “Creating and celebrating Dorothy on her world record attempt as the oldest person to skydive!” they wrote.
The video opens to show Dorothy descending from the sky, along with her instructor, on a parachute. After she lands, people around her start cheering. The video ends with a person asking Dorothy how she feels. To which she replies, “Fine.” What is incredible in the video is the smile of the centenarian after the adventure sport is over.

The video was shared a day ago. Since it was published, it has garnered almost 35,000 views. The sharing also garnered various comments from people.

Guinness World Records has yet to confirm whether Dorothy set the record with this jump. Currently, Rut Linnéa Ingegärd Larsson of Sweden holds the title of ‘Oldest tandem skydiver (female).’ She achieved the record a year ago, in 2022, at the age of 103 years and 259 days.
