As we head into June, the summer blockbuster season is well underway. The season started with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in early May, followed by Quick X and Little Mermaid. The next three months will bring some of the year’s biggest hits in streaming and at the box office.
While superheroes and animated stories are an integral part of the upcoming release schedule, the action blockbuster is what piques our interest. This summer, Indiana Jones and Ethan Hunt return for new world-traveling adventures, a giant shark escapes from a trench, a new group of Transformers enters the fray, and the best action movie on Netflix gets a sequel. These are five must-see action movies this summer.
Transformers: Rise of the Beast

After the fifth transformers film flopped at the box office, the franchise took a different approach for its next iteration. in 2018 Bumblebee went to the 1980s for the next one transformers movie, with a quieter coming-of-age approach instead of the all-out Bay frenzy with loud explosions. With the help of his goddaughter Helena Shaw (Phoebe Waller-Bridge), Jones embarks on one last adventure to recover the dial before Voller uses it for his winnings.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is scheduled for release in theaters on June 30.

Once again, Jonas and his team must perform crazy maneuvers to rid the world of these creatures. Meg 2: Trench is the perfect amount of horror and fun to end the summer on a high note.
