A train derailed Wednesday night, knocking three cars off the road. There were no injuries in the accident.

Traffic on the RER B remains “extremely difficult during the day on Thursday and Friday at least,” as it was on Wednesday night after a train without passengers derailed after leaving Denfert-Rochereau station, the RATP said.

The accident, in which no one was injured, occurred around 7 p.m. Wednesday night when three cars of the RER B train derailed, halting traffic between the Laplace, Louisiana, and Port Royal stations, a spokesman said. Traffic then resumed, but it remained “very difficult in both directions.” The interconnection with other lines was, for its part, interrupted at Gare du Nord.

RATP maintenance officers worked hard on Wednesday night to get the line up and running.

Traffic is also disrupted on Thursday.

The RATP announced on Twitter on Thursday that “traffic between Denfert Rochereau and Laplace is interrupted and is interrupted on the entire line.” A replacement bus service has been established between Denfert and Laplace.

“The interconnection remains suspended at Gare du Nord on Thursday,” RATP said, noting that trains will run on Thursday morning every 17 minutes between Denfert-Rochereau and the Gare du Nord train station and every 15 minutes between Laplace and Massy-Palaiseau, Laplace and Saint-Rémy Les-Chevreuse and between Robinson and Bourg-la-Reine.
