While Hilda had multiple organ failure and multiple drug poisoning. She tested positive for cocaine, MDMA and “other unspecified drugs.”
Three men, Brandt, David and Michael Ansbach, were arrested in December 2021.
The case was first returned to detectives for further investigation after the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office declined to charge the men with crimes related to the women’s deaths. It is now unknown what motivated prosecutors to file the murder charge. Ansbach was not charged in this case.

Christy reportedly wanted to leave Davids’ apartment and texted her friend Hilda. Hilda reportedly called an Uber, which waited five minutes and drove off. Cameras later caught David loading Christy’s body into his Prius and driving to the hospital. He then left her on the sidewalk.
David’s bail was set at $3.1 million, according to Meaww.
