Kari Onstad about her daughter: – I didn’t know she was an alcoholic Novine Plus

Kari Onstad is married to director Stein Winge, they have three children: Julie Winge, Sigurd Nikolai Winge and Viktorija Winge.

Sigurd Nikolai Winge writes this on his Facebook page:

MINNEORD: Son of Sigurd Nikolai Winga about his mother on Facebook. Show more

“I am so incredibly sad and deeply saddened. My loving, generous, warm mother passed away last night around 11.30pm. My beautiful, amazing and strong, vivacious mother suffered a severe ischemic stroke a few days ago. She was losing more and more of her day in the hospital. Yesterday it was just a firm handshake and good eye contact. Her body was asleep but her mind was awake to hear voices and music and our songs. She managed to hold on so we could all get a chance to say goodbye and make her feel the love and a strong connection. It was very good. Even though she couldn’t speak to the end, was the handshake and presence very strong. But she couldn’t, no matter how strong she was. To a tragic end. Like a bolt from the blue. Yojj dear mother. She was a real and fabulous actress! Her spirit is strong, I feel it very much. Since her vocal capacity is so hurt, she felt a strong need to communicate early on. It is still there and will be clearer when things settle down. She got a quick and beautiful transition to death. Dear beautiful mom, Kari”

“DJ grandma”

Kari Onstad was a vital, virtuoso and beautiful woman – a lively and creative human being. She started every day with a dance, and was active until the last.

– You have to move, challenge yourself, she told Dagbladet when we spoke with her a few months ago.

And so she lived, and challenged herself in her older days to be a DJ, “DJ grandma”, as she called herself. Eight years ago she wanted to try something new and was a DJ. When she was about 70 years old, she bought her vinyl, turntables and appeared in a world she had not known before.

I don’t have a show, but I get a lot of responses, she told Dagbladet three years ago.

the love of Stein Winge

She met his great love, the director Stein Winge, then they went to Teaterhøgskolen in the late 50s/early 60s. Soon 60 years passed, and the couple got married in about 55 of them, even though it was a bed of thorns.

Alderdommens in

Both she and her husband talked about their great love, but also challenges, interruptions and infidelities.

In a newspaper interview a few months ago, he told Stein Winge and his love for his wife:

Had a Utroskaspakt

We both went through periods of cheating and were separated from each other for a while. We had a contract. We lived in war and peace, but we always came back to each other. I admire Kylie, she stuck with me, and it wasn’t easy, he said.

About their little special marriage alliance, Onstad told Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet in an interview:

– I still can’t forgive my father Dagbladet Plus

It was the middle of the hippietide. But after having children, you can’t live like that. We had a contract and we were supposed to be open and honest. The contract brought dirt with it, and we had to trash it and “clean the whole house,” she says.

Family collective

In a conversation with the author, she described life with her husband as a life of war, peace and love. In the 1990s, they moved away from each other, but divorce was never discussed.

She took the coffin moved from Nesodden.

But she returned to Nesoddtangen some cable length from Rådhuskai in Oslo, where she, her husband and their three children – and grandchildren – hovered together nearby.

Resist danger

She grew up on Makrellbekken in Oslo, Norway, the eldest of three siblings. When she wanted to be an actress, her father said no. She will have an independent daughter, not one who has to depend on a man.

He didn’t see that she could live off such artists.

So she took a secretareutdannelse at Handelsgym, to get a “proper education” at the bottom – before defying her father and starting at Teaterhøgskolen. She was employed at Operakoret before making her acting debut at Trøndelag Theater in 1968.

loved to dance,

Dance and movement have always been important. Kari also trained as a 5 Rhythm teacher in San Francisco, and in addition to being a singer, dancer and actor, has taught dance nationally and internationally.

The playful and creative man thought he always was.

I was very religious in my early teenage years, but put that behind me. Today, I believe in the divine in man, she told Novine.

Many who mourn

There are many in Norwegian culture who are grieving today. Actor Ingar Helge Gimle writes on Facebook:

“The night I found out our dear Kari Winge Onstad had passed away. It was like being punched in the diaphragm. I send my warmest thoughts to her dear family and everyone who was lucky enough to know Kari. I will hold her in a warm place in my heart in my heart for the rest of my life. Dance beautiful Kari, we will continue to live here on our tryvede globe, take care.”

Director Per-Olav Sørensen also talks about the death of Kari Onstads. On Facebook it says:

“Death is merciless and unpredictable. Kari, the strongest of all 79-year-old women in Norway. She still got into splits. But not least, the one who followed, dealt with anything and everything, and who set her sights straight on you and told things like they were. No nonsense, just pure honest feedback, but always generous. Always. u My last meeting with Kari came a short time ago with her and my mentor Stone on Nesodden. Kari: “Per-Olav, is it suitable on your wrists? They need to be lubricated. Every day. Start with the neck and then work your way down. Get up, let’s do exercises together.” Suddenly she’s gone.”

daughter’s drinking problems

her daughter Julie Winge has been open about his problems with alcohol. Today, she is exhausted and helping others with drinking problems. Five years ago, the elder, actor and blogger stopped with his drinking problems in the book “Fyllik”.

– I didn’t know she was an alcoholic.

– You know, addicts know how to hide their problems. I knew she drank a lot and I said from – but that it was so bad, I didn’t before the child was attached, said Kari Onstad about her daughter Novina.

Pride and trassigheten was Onstads’ maxim.

I’ve always followed my dream and my heart – and I refuse to shrink. That is my encouragement to young people. Trust your intuition and love. We have to dare, and the heart knows what is good, she said in her last interview for Novine.
