TikTok’s “Mama” Alexis LaRue and her 7-month-old identical twin daughters, Camila Rosalie and Elena Gabrielle, are getting a lot of attention. She weighed 108 pounds (49 kilograms) before she got pregnant, but by 38 weeks she had ballooned to 180 pounds (82 kilograms). The twins were born in March 2021 weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces and reportedly tripled seven months later to 21 lbs each.
Alexis, who has Camila and Elena with her fiance Leo Mejia, shared a video on TikTok last month of her holding both daughters with one hand. She saw how an influencer did it and wanted to try it herself. But performing the maneuver was more difficult than she expected.
Alexis looks breathless and giggles in the video, which has more than 48 million views. She says the response she received was overwhelming.
“It’s funny because when I posted that video, I didn’t think much of it,” Alexis told Metro in 2021. “‘I actually didn’t think my babies were that big until I started reading all the comments.’

They are happy and healthy and that’s all that matters. Some people just have big babies!”
Camila and Elena look especially big because Alexis is so small. But when her fiance is 5’11”, babies don’t look so chunky.
In a recent update about her babies, Alexis revealed that her girls were late on every milestone like crawling, walking and hair growth. She struggled with speech delay in girls. Now they have a speech therapist.
