An Ipsos poll for the VINCI Autoroutes Foundation reveals that 5% of French respondents admit to having already thrown away or lost a mask on a public road.

“Hold on” is the slogan of an awareness campaign launched by Vinci Autoroutes aimed at those drivers who throw waste out of their car windows.

According to a survey by Ipsos, commissioned by the motorway company, one in three French people is affected by this lack of culture, which leads to the collection of 25 tonnes of rubbish every day on the side of the motorway, according to a statement published this Friday.

In order to complete this research, Ipsos interviewed 2,160 people from 10 to 14 July 2020 via the Internet, who make up a representative sample of the French population between the ages of 16 and 75. The representativeness of each sample is ensured by the quota method
