He further added: “Over the past few days, we have obtained additional information about the extent of these issues and have decided to remove ‘Home Business’ from Magnolia Network’s programming pending a review of the allegations that have been made.
A Utah homeowner wrote a bunch of posts that were shared on his IG that Merediths 2019 promised a $20,000 kitchen renovation in three weeks. But then they shared that they would charge an additional $5,000 for a total of $25,000 in the first week.
The renovation process took five months, and the owner spent almost $39,000 fixing problems that arose during the renovation. Then other Merediths customers came forward with similar issues. However, on January 7, 2022, Merediths released an official statement addressing the criticism.
The post read: “We have seen the stories that are [sic] circulated, and while we can’t speak for anyone but ourselves, we can say that we’ve always tried to give everything we have to make everyone we work with happy.” They finished the post, “We ask that these threats and accumulations without a full story stop… Many believe we are frauds, that we have intentionally hurt people and that we are not who we say we are. That’s just not true.”
