Angelique Kidjo beat out Wizkid to win the Grammy for Best World Music Album 2022.

The 61-year-old legendary singer won the title of “Best Global Music Album” with her album “Mother Nature” beating out Wizkid’s Made In Lagos Deluxe.

Four-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo shows no mercy.

He took home the award in 2022 for the album “Mother Nature” which beat out albums by Wizkid (“Made In Lagos: Deluxe Edition”), Femi Kuti and Made Kuti (“Legacy”), Daniel Ho and friends (” East West “Players Presents: Daniel Ho & Friends Live In Concert”) and Rocky Dawuni (“Voice Of Bunbon, Vol. 1”).

Mother Nature is AngĂ©lique’s first original album in seven years, following 2019’s Grammy-winning Celia and her radical reimagining of Talking Heads’ landmark 2018 LP Remain In Light.

The 13-track album features Yemi Alade, Mr. Eazi, Salif Keita, Burna Boy, Shungudzo, Zeynab, Lionel Loueke, Sampa The Great, Blue Lab Beats, Ghetto Boy, EARTHGANG, and M-.
