Spin-off show of the popular Netflix series Bling Empire Bling Empire: New York was released on January 20, 2023. Among the many movies that kicked off the debut season, one that definitely caught people’s attention was the relationship of Ari Kourloumelis and Dorothy Wang.
Dorothy and Ari first crossed paths in the Bahamas. The reality star was there for the Girls + Blake Abbie trip. Meanwhile, Ari was with her mother to celebrate her birthday. Dorothy approached Ari and her friend at the bar even though it was for her friend Tina Leung.
However, when Tina was devastated and withdrew, things began to change. Dorothy and Ari exchanged numbers and soon after began texting and talking on the phone, which eventually led to another meeting. Once again his destination was a beer, but this time much less crowded.
Ari bluntly asked him if he changed his return tickets because he wanted her to stay with him one more day. She got exactly what she wanted after a few beers, some cuddling time, and lots of laughs, surprising even Dorthohy, who normally takes a while to open up/trust men.
But the best thing about Dorothy and Ari’s relationship was that neither wrote the other off as another vacation romance when they got back to New York. They both sensed that there was something else. So it should come as no surprise that they kept in touch and got to know each other and each other through social media. The pair grew closer each day, but they still teased each other.

However, there were some minor concerns. On one hand, Dorothy worried about their cultural differences because she’s not Greek Orthodox at all, and she and Ari mostly refused to talk about their relationship status. “We are obsessed with each other,” said the public figure. “She called me 17 times today, but neither of us wants to admit it. We talk about literally everything except our status. [because of our own commitment issues].”
The level of love, care and respect they had for each other, however, was another important aspect that no one doubted.
