trailers

Assassin’s Creed Mirage: World Movie Premiere | #KillForward

premiere trailer of Assassin’s Creed Mirage it’s just CGI, which is very common for the AC franchise in general. Despite this, many details can be learned and concluded from what is shown.

The first big reveal (unless you’ve been following the leak) is that Basim’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be the protagonist of this title. He begins by pretending to be initiated into the Brotherhood of Assassins in a ritual before going to a bright and vibrant market in the new surroundings of Baghdad.

Basim wanders the market, robbing a trader, but is seen and forced to flee. He parks in the streets, knocks down the stands to keep the guards at bay. After all, this is younger Basim, and he cannot escape. Before he can be caught or killed, the assassin kills the guards and offers him his hand. He then joins the Brotherhood and begins training him as an assassin.

The trailer shows him training with other assassins in a castle still under construction, which they use to practice more parkour moves.

Returning to the ritual, Basim silently uses a red-hot knife to remove his left ring finger, as all old assassins did.

A huge shot of the city shows a stunning scene as Basim releases an eagle soaring from his hand. A man, presumably the target, walks down the street as beggars beg for money as we listen to tenants from the Order of Assassins. A beggar is actually Basim, he surprised the guards and chased them away with little effort. As his target realizes what is happening and sends the other guards after him, a red smoke bomb explodes, allowing Basim to take out the guards with his sword and dagger.

Another group runs towards him, leading to a chase down an alley where another trap is thrown, this time a deadly poison gas. Basim and his eagle follow their target, not running to escape, and a guard uses explosive bombs to attack. Basim catches up with his target, steals his golden mask, and finishes him off with his hidden sword.

The trailer ends with a scene not shown since the early Assassin’s Creed games, where the assassin uses a feather to collect some blood from his target as proof of his murder.

Outside of the trailer, we learned from Ubisoft Forward that the woman narrating the trailer and the assassin recruited by Basim is his mentor named Roshan. She is a 50-year-old Persian who escaped from slavery before joining the Brotherhood. Because the game is set 20 years before Basim reappears. Valhalla, we know that regardless of the main plot of this game, Basim will survive.

Another big change for Assassin’s Creed Mirage is that it will be the first major title that will not have any modern story elements. This makes sense considering that the game reportedly began development as a DLC expansion. Valhalla before becoming a standalone title. The entire game will take place around the year 850.

Since it is based on DLC, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is known for being a much more focused and somewhat linear experience compared to the massive open-world RPGs of the last three games. The entire game will reportedly be in the 15-20 hour range, as executive producer Marc-Alexis Cote said in an interview with IGN: “Not everything has to be a 150-hour RPG, right… Is smaller assassin’s Creed project. this is imaginary [and] built to celebrate the 15th anniversary. So we’re using our modern Valhalla engine to make a smaller game that pays homage to our original game by focusing more on stealth, melee combat, parkour, and a denser city that harkens back to our Middle Eastern roots with Baghdad as the center. ”

The capital city of Baghdad will be divided into four districts, as well as a smaller area outside of it called Alamut, which serves as the Assassins’ headquarters.

As the game takes a more classic approach, stealth and parkour are heavily emphasized. Both systems are said to have been vastly improved over past iterations thanks to the new engine used since the Valhalla. You can also choose the order in which you want to assassinate your targets. There are also several ways to stalk your target, such as bribing the guards, confronting them directly, or simply sneaking around.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage it will also drop some mechanics such as gender options and dialogue options. However, Eagle Vision and eagle management for area reconnaissance are used in the Assassin’s Creed Origins and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey return

As for weapons, a hidden blade is revealed, but your options will also include tools like smoke bombs and throwing knives. Basim can also wield dual weapons, such as a saber and dagger, to carry out fiendishly brutal executions.

The new ability Basim uses is called Assassin’s Focus, which allows him to mark and kill multiple targets in one fluid motion.

Camel driving presents itself for the backcountry, but the new parkour mechanics are the real star here. Climbing, jumping, and swinging are present, but a new pole vault has yet to be created to cover big gaps.
