Free game Avatar: The Last Airbender a mobile RPG Avatar: Generations has resurfaced under a new publisher, as the game now has an early 2023 release date and is available for pre-registration on Android.
Avatar: Generations is a turn based RPG like Marvel Strike Force or Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes which allows fans to play through the stories of various Team Avatars. At launch, the focus is on Avatar: The Last Airbender’s story, although the press release for this post teased it Avatar: Generations will eventually get updates to that feature The Legend of Korra stories and characters, as well as never-before-seen Avatars.

As players progress through the game, they will collect a variety of heroes and companions based on characters from the franchise, then upgrade those characters and build the team best suited to complete a certain level. Those who pre-register for the game will receive the hero Avatar Aang and companion Appu for free. Although it is not a game for AAA consoles Avatar: The Last Airbender fans yearn for, Avatar: Generations looks like the most thorough Avatar game yet.
Interestingly, this publication also confirms this Avatar: Generations The publisher is now Crystal Dynamics — Eidos Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Embracer Group. Avatar: Generations was originally announced by Square Enix last year, but it appears the Square Enix London Mobile team working on the game was part of Square Enix’s sale of the western studio to Embracer Group last summer.
Although Embracer Group shut down Onoma, the mobile studio it bought from Square Enix, it still seems interested in Avatar: Generationsprobably due to the existing relationship with Nickelodeon and the fact that Avatar: The Last Airbender is a well-known IP. Avatar: Generations is developed by Navigator Games.
Avatar: Generations will launch on iOS and Android in early 2023.
