“This morning, Gandali was reunited with his surrogate mother, Samanatha, after spending the night at the vet being treated for a snake bite. We would like to express our gratitude to the Rockhampton Zoo team and our local vet team for their quick response and expert care, as well as the overwhelming concern and support of our community who had Gandali in their thoughts,” they wrote. They also shared a link to a blog that explains more about Gandali.

The zoo explained that the little one was taken to the vet after being bitten by a snake. Fortunately, the guards reacted quickly and he was able to receive emergency medical treatment.

The video opens to show Samanatha inside her enclosure. Soon Gandali enters through a small door and runs towards Samanath. The rest of the video shows them hugging tightly.
