The Ministry of Education will initially take new measures to make it easier for school principals who have been put to the test during the crisis caused by the Sars coronavirus and are regularly faced with complicated everyday problems. The “subsidy”, the amount of which has not yet been stopped, will also be paid to them in the autumn.
The Assembly already considered improving their situation last week. Member Cécile Rilhac’s (LREM) bill is designed specifically to recognize their “full and complete function” and aims to be a “first step” to facilitate their task.

The principals specifically called for human help to perform daily tasks. The Ministry promises to increase the number of public services or dedicated to the employment of educational assistants in pre-professionalization. Finally, at the beginning of the year, working groups will be established. In particular, the issue of “landfills”, which allow directors not to attend classes for a certain period, or the issue of quarry reclamation will be discussed.
