Tiger King: The Story of Doc Antle was supposed to be a three-part series exploring the life of Doc Antle aka Bhagavan who is a big cat enthusiast. This big cat expert also owned his own private zoo in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he worked alongside Joe Exotic (as featured in the first Tiger King movie).
Then Betsy ‘Brahmi’ Rogers comes on the scene as Doc’s first wife, who never “got over” the breakup. Or so her brother said.
“In a sense, they looked like a happily married couple and Bhagawan was using them as an example of how happy they were and what a wonderful couple they were, which was quite interesting,” a contributor to the documentary revealed.

Betsy ‘Brahmi’ Rogers met Doc Antle while she was still in high school. However, at the time she Betsy was in a relationship with a boy next door who eventually started seeing Doc’s mom. And Betsy, out of revenge or for whatever reason, started dating Doc.
According to Betsy, she found Doc “handsome and confident”. The two then got married and changed their names after a month-long retreat in Yogaville. It was the Indian guru, Swami Satchidananda, who gave them a new name: Betsy later became Brahmi and Doc became Sri Mahatmayavi Bhagavan Antle.
So while the relationship started off well, things took a turn for the worse when Betsy started noticing her husband sleeping with other women. According to Doc, their relationship was open, but Betsy never agreed.
“I was always the last to know,” Betsy recalled. Furthermore, she said at the time that he was “very careful in choosing teenage girls whose parents didn’t pay attention to them.”
While the two were still married, Doc began dating Sumati Steinberg, eventually marrying her in a spiritual wedding ceremony.
Over time, Betsy began to age and “she was 100 pounds and she had no curves, nothing at all.” And since Doc supposedly “loved women who still looked like teenagers”, their relationship grew increasingly weak.
Also, Doc then started with the physical abuse. “I used to strangle myself because I didn’t leave a mark,” Betsy said. He also revealed that he got mad at her when she got pregnant: “He said it was my fault.”
A year later, Betsy welcomed her first child into this world. And as soon as the child was born, Doc was gone.
Doc Antle’s son, Kody Antle, who was introduced in The Tiger King, could possibly be from his relationship with Betsy.

After Betsy ‘Brahmi’ Rogers had had enough of Doc, she filed for divorce, but it was not granted until a year later. She then also accused Doc of spending almost all of her inheritance without her permission during her marriage.
Not long after their separation, Betsy fell into alcoholism and had several near-death experiences. So she decided to change her life and moved to Tucson, Arizona. And she lived there now, since 2021.
As for Doc, he married a Yogaville devotee named Sumati Steinberg. He “he Beat up several teenage girls that day at the lake. He was 22, I was 14,” Sumati recalled of her first meeting with the Doc.
She also claimed that Doc was “incredibly violent” and that he tried to kill her “four times in four years”.
“He once even bragged to the girls that he broke two of my ribs to shut me up. And it’s true, it is,” added Sumati.
Finally, Sumati became pregnant. And once again, Doc packed up and left.
Then came Radha Hirsch, who was allegedly kidnapped by Doc when she was 15 years old. It seems that Radha met Doc when she was 11-12 years old. When she was around 14 years old, the two were already in a romantic relationship and she ran away with Doc when she turned 15.
