Biologist gets struck by lightning while standing in a waterbody

Adventurer Forrest Galante is a biologist who hosts various wildlife shows, so it’s not unusual for him to come face to face with various dire situations. However, in a recent incident, he experienced a terrifying moment that had nothing to do with wildlife. While filming the show, he was struck by lightning. A video of the incident was shared on X and left people in awe.

Journalist Ed Krassenstein called X to share the video. He briefly explained the incident. “How close were you to being struck by lightning?” Krassenstein then added that Galante was struck by lightning while filming for the show.

“You can see in the video that he was discussing the importance of having a GPS device when a huge bolt of lightning is seen behind him. Galante said immediately afterwards that he felt a shock. Fortunately, it was not a direct hit and he is unharmed. I’m glad you’re okay Forrest!” Krassenstein tweeted.

The video opens to show Galante standing in knee-deep water. He is heard explaining the importance of GPS while outdoors. Suddenly, the camera drops, and a loud noise replaces Galante’s voice. After a few seconds, the presenter says that he was struck by lightning, but that he is fine.
