A DOUBLE-WHAMMY of the pandemic and the cost of living crisis has grounded a fair few TV shows.
So it was only a matter of time before Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford’s look at ultra-luxury travel was shelved.

The TV presenter has revealed that his Channel 5 series with Loose Women-star wife, Eamonn And Ruth How The Other Half Lives, has stalled.
Eamonn said: “Sadly, the series fell victim to the pandemic – it was just impossible to get across the world to meet very rich people – and there are no plans to revive the series now.
“But I do feel privileged to have been a part of it and to have met people in parts of the world that are no longer accessible.
“We got to spend time with some extraordinary people, including a billionaire and his wife in Ukraine and some of the richest people in Moscow.”
The show ran for five series plus a Christmas special, attracting around 1.2million viewers throughout.
It saw the husband and wife duo sip on the world’s most expensive cocktail, visit a £20m Regents Park apartment in London and they even used a £100,000 hand-engraved shotgun to shoot clay pigeons
Eamonn also got to fly in a Russian billionaire’s private jet.
Launching the show back in 2016, Ruth said: “We always thought we were doing alright then you see this wealth beyond your wildest dreams.
“I set out to do this show thinking I wouldn’t like the people very much, thinking they’re going to be arrogant, and they really weren’t. A lot of them are self-made people.
Eamonn added: “The fascination is how they made their money, how they spend it, and why when they get the money they don’t just stop working.“
Other crazy scenes on the show saw them tour super-yachts in Ibiza and visit a mansion with its own bowling alley, football pitch and golf course.
Over the course of the five series, they travelled to far flung places like Dubai, New York, Monte Carlo, Vegas and Lake Como in Italy.
The festive episode, A Million Pound Christmas, followed Eamonn and Ruth as they tried to spend a million pounds on Christmas Eve inspired by all they had learnt.
