Along with his career as an entertainer, Brad Vaughan also co-owns a gym with his business partner Brett Hansen called Spirit of Texas located in Arlington, Texas. The gym’s website says, “Spirit of Texas Cheer and Gymnastics offers the best facilities and equipment for all of your cheerleading needs. We have two locations, each with over 18,000 square feet. The north location is in Coppell on the Beltline, minutes from 121, 635 and the George Bush Expressway.”
“The North Gym has more than 30,000 square feet of combined air-conditioned office and gym space, including multiple parent lounges, parent conference areas, and study space. It also features over 40,000 square feet of outdoor gym space with 7 fully combined suspended floors, non-suspension floor, barbell floor, trampoline and trampoline.

Brad Vaughan was born to parents Jimmy Lee Vaughan and Robbie Vaughan.
His father, Jimmy, grew up in McKinney, where he attended and graduated from McKinney High School in 1959. He spent most of his life as a supervisor working for Texas Instruments and later worked for McKinney ISD.
After Brad’s mother died in 1998, Jimmy remarried to his presumed second wife, Shirley Vaughan, of McKinney, Texas, on September 12, 2009. Nearly nine years after the wedding, he died on July 2. of 2018 at the age of 77 years.
In June 2017, Brad wrote on his Facebook: “I am so thankful for this man! I love you dad.”
Jimmy is survived by his children, Randy Vaughan and wife, Brenda of McKinney, Texas, and Lance Vaughan and wife, Karen of Anna, Texas; daughter Debbie Mooney and husband Chris of Mineola, Texas. He also had 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Furthermore, Brad also lost his grandfather Herman W Becknell on January 28, 2010 at the age of 93.
