CBS Survivors 45 premiered on September 27, 2023, featuring 18 contestants vying for their chance at $1 million. One particular participant from Survivors 44 was also brought in the new season. During Survivors 45, Bruce Perreault unfortunately suffered a head injury. This in turn knocked him out of the game within 12 hours. He had something to prove as the oldest in the competition during the first challenge. But instead, he rammed his head into a beam. Doctors initially allowed him to continue playing, but later that night, after experiencing severe head pain, he was medically evacuated. He was taken to a hospital in Fiji after a CT scan and was told there was no bleeding on the brain. And luckily after a week, Bruce was feeling better.
After the unfortunate ending, Jeff Probst invited him to compete on the show again. At first Bruce had no idea what to do. He even considered ignoring him. However, when he learned about the positive response he received online, he decided to just leave.
So that’s why the new contestants looked at Bruce and nodded. He found this surreal and ridiculous.
Lately, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bruce was asked if he does that Survived twice he will either help him or give him a break, he confidently hinted that he will give 100 percent to help only him. He also hoped that his biggest superpowers, 1) being kryptonite and 2) being able to ask the right questions just to get an answer, could help him in the game.
