In July, Youssef announced that he had bought two new apartments in the center of the city and offered them to him, and Molly, a friend he had made in Chile, did not hesitate. The couple gave Youssef a $1,000 security deposit and prepared to move in. But the day before, Callie had met Youssef at eight o’clock at night on a corner in the center of the city.
Youssef was thirty minutes late. It was their first time one on one and Callie enjoyed her company. Sabi, her old roommate to whom she owed money, called him. She also received money from two Mexicans. That night, Sabi called Callie three times to ask why she hadn’t come home yet.
Then they went to one of the oldest tire shops in Santiago, Vulcanización Escoda. There he attacked Callie in the back of the head. After she hit the ground, he had her arm around her neck. Youssef went to the pension and after a while Callie came back dirty. Three days after arriving at the hospital, Callie was released.
Then Callie found out about his past scams, the money he paid as a security deposit. But two days before his 24th birthday, he was caught luring money as bait. Although he at first refused to admit it, he eventually admitted that he hit Callie in the head. But he didn’t mean to kill her and buried her to hide her from the night football fans.
