Snapper Sudhir Shivaram spotted the cunning animal while exploring the city of Bera, and enjoyed teasing his friends, who don’t even believe it’s a leopard in the photo.
Sudhir, 43, had hoped to see the big cat while visiting the area, as it is known as its popular habitat.
The photographer said: “The site is very popular with leopards due to its rocky terrain.

“The leopard came out of his den and was resting.
“I kept a good distance from him so as not to disturb him.
“I took the photo with the leopard slightly off center so it’s very hard to find.
“Only a few people were able to see it after a while.
“Many guessed wrong, while some even thought there was nothing in the image.”

He added: “Leopards are very well camouflaged in their habitat.
“They are the most adaptable animals and easily handle smaller mammals, birds and sometimes local livestock.
As long as we don’t bother them, they won’t interfere in our lives and coexist.
