At the hearing, François Fillon also defended the reality of the work of his two eldest children, Mary and Charles, successively employed as a parliamentary assistant, from 2005 to 2007, while he was Senator for Sarthe. The salaries received are measured at 117,400 euros. In this window, the PNF is subject to a discretionary evaluation by the court.
A literary adviser is equally discreet
Was the use of Ms. Fillon’s “literary adviser” for the Revue des deux mondes, owned by billionaire Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, a friend of thirty years of François Fillon, also “completely fabricated”? “forgotten” credit
The prosecution also wanted François Fillon to be sentenced for not reporting a loan of 50,000 euros that Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière had granted him in 2012. That loan, intended to finance the renovation of his house, was repaid after the opening of the case.
