The Paris police prefecture announced a complaint on Thursday after a plaque commemorating Ahmed Merabet, the policeman killed by the Kouachi brothers on January 7, 2015 in the Charlie Hebdo attacks, was defaced.

“They are the terrorists”

“A plaque honoring our colleague Ahmed Merabet, who was killed by terrorists in 2015, has been vandalized. This is an unacceptable act that will not go unpunished, @prefpolice is filing a complaint,” the Paris police prefecture said on Twitter.

According to a police source, entries in green marker were found on a plaque placed in the Xith arrondissement of the capital: “yes”, “vac”, “but?”, “terrorist they are”.
