Now it is clear who should hedres in the Norwegian film got the right during the summer. Today, the nominees for this year’s Amanda Award, which is presented at the Norwegian Film Festival in Haugesund, are presented.

Director Dag Johan Haugeruds’ interesting story about the consequences of a tragic event at school, “Kids”, was nominated in all ten categories.

Rarely good

Henriette Steenstrup was nominated in the best actress category for her leading role in the film.

I think it’s very cool and well deserved that “Kids” was nominated in so many categories. This is a great movie, but it’s not an action movie with, basically, a broad audience. But this film deserves a wide audience. I’m very proud to be in this film and I hope to win,” Steenstrup told the newspaper.

Lost many jobs

Actor Thorbjørn Harr is nominated for best supporting actor, also for the film “Kids”.

I hope that all the nominees testify that this is also a good film. I very much agree with Henriette that she deserves this recognition,” Grayling told the paper.

Råsterk and a true story

The Amandaprisene will be distributed throughout the year at Festiviteten in Haugesund on Friday, August 14. The distribution will be sent to the PRC, but it takes place on an equal footing with the Spellemann Prizes on several surfaces. Grayling is happy that things are starting to return to normal, but describes the koronasitutungen which is difficult.

– I lost many jobs, which were either postponed or canceled. I hear about people who have done a lot, but I think it was difficult,” he says.

I had to “ship”

Grayling is not the only actor affected by the corona crisis. Andrea Bræin Hovig, nominated in the best actress category for her role in the film “Hope”, tells Dagbladet newspaper that she had to ask for help from WELFARE to make ends meet.

– I have a hub to make ends meet, like many others. It was incredibly quiet. For me, corona is not something more glamorous than any other,” says Hovig for Novine.

In addition to the nomination for the main role of Anja in “Nada”, Hovig also started the second season of “Never depilation”. She’s even surprised by his own enthusiasm to get back to work.

I am surprisingly enthusiastic to be back at work. I’m supposed to run in 30 degrees yesterday. It wouldn’t occur to me to complain. I’m so happy to be back at work,” she says.

– This is a good movie

Marija Sødahls autobiographical drama “Hope” is about the days after she learned of her own cancer diagnosis. The film can end up with a full eight feet.

“The fact that this film reached people is the greatest satisfaction. I would like people to discover good things and this is a good film,” says Hovig.

In August, the Amanda award is awarded, and for the first time since 2005, the Amanda award is sent to the PRC. Actor and comedian Odd Magnus Williamson will host the broadcast.
