A man in China decided to have a big wedding with his wife after 14 years of marriage. But why the long wait? It turns out that at the time of their wedding, the man was not financially stable enough to have a lavish ceremony. According to reports, he promised his wife that he would one day host a reception for her and did so more than a decade later to commemorate their enduring love affair.

The 42-year-old man got married 14 years ago without a ceremony, the South China Morning Post (SCMP) reported. His company, which he runs with his wife, recently started doing better, so he decided to surprise his partner.
“This was my biggest regret in the past decade. In the past we had nothing. My wife has not left me all these years and has always been by my side through various difficulties together. Whatever happens, he will always support me,” said the husband, reports SCMP.
“Every time I think about what my wife has done for me, I tell myself that I should repay her with a real wedding.” I have often told my wife that when I am rich enough, I will arrange a perfect wedding for you and invite all our relatives and friends to witness our happiness,” he added.
They had a big ceremony on October 17 in their hometown in Changsha, China. Among other things, the couple danced to the beats of the drum in the presence of their friends and family.
