Claire and Jesse get off to a rocky start to their marriage after the celebrant “got hurt” by his new girlfriend’s love for star signs. And things got worse during their honeymoon when Claire was told that she was talking too much.
For those who missed the drama, when the infamous Honesty Box broke out, Claire asked Jesse, “Based on what you know about me, what’s my most annoying trait?” To which the groom replied, “Would you like an example?” and he continued to make an impression of her.
Taunting her, Jesse said, “My God, look at the arena! God, look at the sun! My God, look at the water!” Clearly, Claire was bummed out and stormed out with her luggage. “I want to go home,” she said.
The star later also revealed that her husband “shutted her up” when she was “too loud” at the airport on her way to their Whitsundays honeymoon. According to her, “Jesse shut me up a couple of times today, and I didn’t like being shut up. He said: ‘Tusca, use your inner voice.’ Like, one day, if you shut me up already, you’re going to be in trouble in front of your friend.”
Viewers also criticized Jesse for silencing Claire. “God forbid a woman gets excited or expresses herself publicly. I can’t with this ‘man’”, wrote the user. While another commented: “Jesse is just a foul. He’ll get off the show and marry a blow-up doll. .”
After the split, while Claire’s relationship status remained a mystery, Jesse was linked to another contestant, Jesse Burford, from the previous season.
