Alexander, the second of three children, was a proud graduate of Muskegon High School and Muskegon Junior College, and even prouder to have graduated from the University of Michigan, where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history.

Alexander earned ABD status in his study of Balkan history when he decided to complete his studies and take a teaching position at Grand Rapids Junior College, where he taught American politics and government for 29 years. All his life he was an avid student of American politics, American history, and European history.

Theodore, the youngest of three, was an active member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Muskegon. He had a beautiful singing voice that he contributed to the church choir. His family members have always marveled at his ability to quickly understand how electrical and mechanical things work. He graduated from Muskegon High School and Muskegon Junior College.

While Chris’s mother, Phyllis, died on October 15, 2020, at the age of 84.

Speaking of Christopher’s siblings, he grew up with three brothers named James and two sisters Niki (Mike Gutowsky) and Teresa Micheil (Richard). Christopher lost his sister Niki before his mother.

His late sister, Niki, graduated from Mona Shores High School, Muskegon Community College, and the Michigan State University School of Business, following in their father’s footsteps. She died peacefully at the age of 47 on February 22, 2013 after a courageous two-year battle with brain cancer.
