The Center-Val de Loire Regional Health Agency (ARS) has launched a Covid-19 screening campaign at the headquarters of Veolie, which employs almost 280 employees, in Chaingy (Loiret), following the discovery of a “small cluster”, the organization announced on Friday.
“Four people are infected. At this stage, we do not have elements that would suggest a large cluster. As a precaution, we have started the screening of a wider part of the site’s employees,” said the director of the ARS Center office. Val de Loire, Christophe Lugnot.
A total of 280 will be tested
The testing campaign, carried out by ARS and Orléans regional hospital center, started on Friday and should last until Monday at the recycling and waste recovery site, said Luc Petit, director of the Territorial Center at Veolia. On Friday, 152 employees were tested, and about 280 of them are willing to do everything, he said.

“One of our employees went to the funeral on June 6. He was warned by social protection 12 that he was in contact with infected people. (…) Between 8 and 12 he went to the office. and infected three employees nearby,” Mr Small said.
