Court grants Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy ₦3.5m bail - case postponed until June 20

Today, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy were granted bail from the Accra court on 22 May 2019 after they appeared in court. Each one was granted a bond of GH¢50,000 (3.5 million) with a guarantee each within the judicial file presided over by Justice of the Peace Isaac Addo.

Stonebwoy has been charged with offensive behavior leading to breach of the peace and displaying a firearm in public without permission.

Shatta Wale alternatively deals with the cost of abusive behavior that leads to a breach of the peace. Shatta Wale’s lawyer in the court proceedings was legal expert Jerry Avenyor, while lawyer Selali Wonya represented Stonebwoy. Each pleaded not guilty.

The case has been adjourned until June 20, 2019. In the meantime, all musicians have been warned to behave themselves while the case is pending.
