Humberto Preciado and Courtney Robertson met in April 2019 when they got in touch through Instagram.
He ‘liked’ my photo on Instagram and I recognized his name. I remember 10 years ago my friend told me about a boy she liked, Humbert. His name is so unique. I didn’t put it together right away, but I was like, ‘Wait, have we met yet?’ she said us weekly. “This boy is cute. My God, he lives in Arizona. I sent him a DM and we dated a few days later and we’ve been together for eight months. He moved in in July and the rest is history.”

She added: “The easiest ‘YES’ I’ve ever said.” Courtney said Humberto sought her father’s approval before asking the question after learning they were expecting a child. In early December, the couple’s friends and family attended a gender reveal party where they learned they were pregnant with a boy.
They welcomed a son named Joaquín Ramón. She was four months old when the couple decided to tie the knot on October 16, 2020. PEOPLE can exclusively reveal that the former Bachelor contestant married Humbert in a small ceremony in Sedona, Arizona.
Poignant details abound during the ceremony, which was attended by just 25 family members who have tested negative for COVID-19. “We had a 100-person wedding at the beginning, and we’ve scaled it down ever since,” Courtney said. PEOPLE. “We had to change everything so many times. But it was really special to have just our nearest and dearest.”
“When I met Humbert, it was a no-brainer,” Robertson said. PEOPLE. “I know this is meant to be.”
“Planning a wedding while expecting a baby was definitely stressful,” Courtney told the magazine. “But at first we had a much bigger wedding and due to COVID-19 we scaled it down considerably. It’s such a great feeling to have just our nearest and dearest at the celebration. Sweet and simple!”
The ceremony, a somber tribute to Courtney Robertson’s mother, Sherry, who passed away last year, took place just steps from where her parents were married 40 years ago. “My mom was in my heart all day,” Courtney said. “Tlaquepaque has always been a special place for my family. That’s why I like that I can continue coming with Joaquín and Humberto, and it’s special for us too”.
