Only three passengers refused to be tested at Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport, the interior ministry said.
A total of 556 passengers were tested on Saturday at Paris airports on the first day of the entry into force of the sanitary control of passengers coming from sixteen countries with a strong spread of the coronavirus, the Ministry of the Interior announced.
From Saturday morning, passengers arriving by air and who are older than 11 years old from sixteen “risky” countries must present “proof of the result of a biological virological screening examination performed less than 72 hours before the flight, without finding an infection due to Covid-19”.

If the passenger does not have such a document, he is invited to take the test at the designated place in the airport. After the test, you should leave your personal contact information and you can continue to travel, in France or in transit, explains the MUP in a press release.

Passengers are then contacted again by the health authorities in case of a positive finding and come for “Contact Tracing” monitoring. During the first day of operation of the device, 2,671 passengers from the listed countries arrived at Roissy and Orly airports. Among them, 556 had to be tested.

The device at the Paris airports mobilized 80 police officers at the border, five technicians of the criminal police of the Gendarmerie, 50 members of the AP-HP and ARS Ile-de-France and nine firefighters. Furthermore, checks carried out at all French airports resulted in only three people refusing to be tested at Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport, according to the interior ministry.

The 16 countries with high virus circulation are Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, United States, Panama, South Africa, Algeria, Brazil, India, Israel, Madagascar, Oman, Peru, Qatar, Serbia and Turkey.
