A great strategy role-playing game Crusader Kings 3 is very quickly on its way to next-gen consoles. Developer Paradox Interactive surprised fans by announcing that the game is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 29.

Crusader Kings 3 is one of the most famous dynasty simulators. Players control their dynasty through ages and generations until a certain final year is met. The game was originally released as a PC exclusive on September 1, 2020.
The game breaks new ground with this console port. Not only will millions of new players finally be able to enjoy this title, but it’s not usually the type of genre that’s readily available on console, according to Paradox.
“Interesting thing about moving Crusader Kings 3 on console it’s not a genre that’s particularly well-represented,” says technical designer Terry Goodwin in an announcement post. “There is a huge challenge in bringing such a big game to consoles. For this reason, we don’t call it port, but adaptation.”
Paradox Interactive goes into a lot of detail, revealing just how much work goes into bringing a title to consoles. Things as simple as changing the mouse pointer menu to something more familiar to console players were pushed to make the game as familiar as possible without dumbing down the experience.
“That’s why we had to redesign all the menus in the game so you could get that tactile feedback from going up and down the list on the D-pad,” explains Goodwin.
Players of the current generation of consoles can finally get their hands on it Crusader Kings 3 and started their own dynasty on March 29.
