Ray’s strange stories about his origins initially intrigued Daniel and further cemented his impression of an incredible person.
Daniel was only 19 years old at the time, so it was only natural that he would have a hard time adjusting to adulthood. Surprisingly, Ray seemed to understand his problems and even helped him solve them, which gave Daniel a sense of importance. Finally, in 2011, Ray moved to New York City and extended an open invitation to Talia and six of her friends, including Daniel, to live with him rent-free.
At first everything seemed to be going as usual, but Ray quickly revealed his true colors and on one occasion severely scolded Daniel for scratching a frying pan.
Daniel was also trained by a man he once respected, as well as watching Ray torture and manipulate the residents of the same apartment. Ray claimed that all he wanted to do was show Daniel how to please the ladies, but in fact he was promoting a culture of group sex and often forcing Daniel to please Isabella Pollock, another woman who lived in the same apartment. . Unfortunately, it was hard to escape Ray’s grasp when he convinced Daniel that the boy had hurt him and Talia on purpose.
Although the accusations were false, Daniel accepted them at first and tried to make things right. The torture quickly changed from mental to physical as Ray tortured Daniel with an instrument of his own making and occasionally shoved a sexual object into his body. In 2013, Daniel was finally able to stop talking to Ray and returned to the university campus to complete the rest of his degree.
