She died under the blows of his parents, despite a report to the justice : in 2009, the small Marina, aged 8, died of his injuries. The european Court of Human rights (ECHR) condemned on Thursday the France for not having taken sufficient measures to protect it.

In its judgment, the ECHR considers that “the ‘reporting for suspicion of abuse’ to the director of the school in June 2008 triggered the positive obligation of the State to undertake investigations” and notes that “the measures taken by the authorities between the time of the sighting and the death of the child were not sufficient to protect (the child) of the serious abuse of his parents”.

“State Responsibility”
Two French associations for the protection of childhood, Innocence in danger, and Enfance et partage, nonsuited in the last resort by the supreme Court of appeal in 2014 which had held that the liability of the State was not involved in the death of the little girl, had referred to the ECHR in 2015. They “blamed the French authorities for not having protected (Marina) of the abuse of her parents”.

The small Marina is probably dead in the night of 6 to 7 August 2009 under the blows of his parents, after years of abuse and humiliation.
