New York has been struggling with a spike in crime lately. In fact, there was a 21.9% increase in burglaries compared to the numbers from the first three months of the previous year. That is alarming.

However, if you do use this placement option, you should have the camera close to the door in a location that is visible but hard to reach. Even though you’ll catch a criminal in the act, you’ll still need to call the police, and the criminal may swipe some items before retreating. Better to prevent your home from becoming a target in the first place.
