The family of Diao Aiqing, a 19-year-old student who was brutally murdered and dismembered in 1996, filed a lawsuit against the Nanjing University College of Adult Education for failing to provide adequate care.

After a conflict with the management of the home, he left the building and did not return. Diao was last seen wearing a red coat with black trim, and authorities did not notify her family until January 19, when she was reported missing.
The discovery of Dia’s remains was first reported by a sanitation worker in January, who found what was initially thought to be pork in a bag.

Ultimately, human remains were discovered at eight locations around the University, including the stadium, front gates, hospital, and roadsides, and the police confirmed that they belonged to Diao.

Dia’s murder case is ongoing and the police are actively investigating the case. The Nanjing police clarified that they are committed to solving the case and will continue to consider all logical analysis and assumptions that can help in the investigation.
