The dog left people impressed with his superb acting skills. A video shared on Instagram shows a dog pretending to limp to convince his pet’s mom to take him where he wants to go. What makes the video funnier is the instant change in the dog’s walking style after he realizes that he has managed to convince his human.

The video was posted on an Instagram page dedicated to a dog named Raylan. The descriptive caption posted with the video begins with the line: “Oscar for Most Dramatic Actor goes to the dog.”
“Sometimes Raylan decides he doesn’t want to go for a walk anymore (sometimes we go in the wrong direction, or in case it’s raining – he hates walking in the rain!) and suddenly he starts acting like he’s in pain and old so I’ll feel sorry for him and go back from where we came. But as soon as we go where he wants, he suddenly pulls the leash and is full of energy! Vile liar! I also look like a really bad dog owner when people are around. Fortunately, he only does this occasionally,” the description reads.
In the next few lines, Raylan’s pet mom also explains, “Raylan has been struggling with arthritis, but now we have him very well under control with multiple supplements and medications and 95% of the time you’d think he was a much younger dog with no issues at all! But he remembers how I would react if he got (really) sick and uses that to his advantage.”
“Maybe the smartest dog in the world?” asked the pet dog’s mom at the end of the title. After watching Raylan’s video, you will agree that he is indeed the smartest.
