The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Monday 7 October 2019 arrested 17 suspected online scammers, including five who claimed to be students from Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti. The suspects were arrested in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti state, after a thorough investigation into intelligence reports detailing their alleged involvement in internet fraud and other related crimes. The suspects will be charged in court as soon as the investigation is over.
