About two decades ago, Kimbal bit Elon during an argument over their then-startup Zip2, Isaacson wrote in his book, Business Insider reports. Kimbal did it because he thought his brother was going to “punch him in the face.” Elon was later rushed to the hospital where he received stitches and a tetanus shot.

Zip2 is a former American technology company founded by the Musk brothers. He worked from 1995 to 1999. “The brothers often had ‘rolls on the office floor’ while working together at Zip2, their city guide company for newspapers. Because Zip2 didn’t have private offices, the rest of the staff had to watch the two argue,” reads an excerpt from Isaacson’s book, reports Business Insider.

In his book, the author also talked about the “volatile relationship” between the Musk brothers. “I love, love, love my brother very much, but working with him was difficult,” reads a quote from Kimball mentioned in the book. Kimbal talked about the disagreements he often had with his brother while working with him, including their fight over the name of their joint startup – Zip2.

In his book Elon Musk, the biography of the richest person in the world, Walter Isaacson presents an unseen side of the Tesla director, writes the New York Times. The author followed Musk for nearly two years, including sitting in on meetings and giving interviews, to write the story of the billionaire entrepreneur.
