Prosecutors in Romania announced on December 29 that Tristan and Andrew Tate would be held for at least 24 hours on charges of abuse, human trafficking and attempted gang organization. Law enforcement agencies say they consider it most likely:

  • “He appears to have created an organized crime group for the purpose of recruiting, harboring and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content intended for viewing on specialized websites for a fee.”

Tate is still in police custody but could be released if found not guilty.
